Did you know that many teas contain aluminum? If you order iced tea from a restaurant, hold the lemon. If you drink green tea at home – skip the lemon too. Why?
If the restaurant that you frequent prepares their iced tea (or their carbonated sodas) using tap water, then you are drinking chemical and/or metallic additives including fluoride and extra aluminum. If you add lemon to your tap-water tea or soft drink, the lemon acts like a catalyst and will increase the absorption of these metals into your body, including the absorption of aluminum in your brain. Think about what’s in that tap water before you order any restaurant drinks.
What about when you are having a “healthy” glass of green tea at home – made from your own filtered water? It’s great that you filter your home water before you drink it. But, the makers of many green teas admit that tea contains added aluminum:

If tea makers add aluminum to green tea – they should be required to mention that on the packaging. They do not. Watch your citrus use with teas, cheese, tomatoes, and soft drinks in aluminum cans too.
Knowledge is power, especially when you know what’s going to interact with your kidneys, liver, heart, brain and vital organs. Do not confuse organic tea with a non metal tea. Even some organic teas contain metal. Make certain that your beverages are nourishing your body and not taxing your vital organs. Make certain that your drinks are heaven in a glass.
